Peterslund School is a K-6 school with a K-9 adapted program. Peterslund School has an integrated after-school program and a newly started outdoor after-school program. The school is located in a distinct residential area on the outskirts of Oxelösund. Approximately 400 students attend the school. The school is surrounded by a large playground with asphalt areas, sports fields, and a multi-purpose area, as well as proximity to forested areas. The school is built on one level and has 14 classrooms with associated study halls and shared facilities such as craft rooms, an open library in a common area, and a gymnasium. The after-school program is integrated into the school premises, and the various departments are located adjacent to the classrooms.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a teacher in mathematics and technology for a full-time position for students in grades 1-7 / 4-9. You will work closely with other teachers within your team.

As a teacher, you will conduct creative teaching and find strategies to reach each student. Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and developing the educational work based on the school's governing documents and the needs and interests of the students, both individually and together with your team.

You will actively participate in the school's development work and collaborate with other school staff to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are a certified teacher with qualifications in primary education.
• You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have the ability to individualize teaching based on students' needs. You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create structure, coherence, and good relationships.
• You are solution-focused and have a positive attitude towards school development, as well as understanding the importance of teaching being creative and stimulating, while also being based on research and proven methods.
• You share our belief that we as a school exist for the student, which means we must adapt to each individual student's conditions, interests, and needs. You see the positive in each individual and are convinced that everyone has the opportunity to learn, and that your approach as a teacher is one of the most important factors for students' success.

Great emphasis will be placed on the applicant's personal qualities, work initiative, responsibility, and ability to collaborate.

It is an advantage if you can teach additional subjects beyond mathematics and technology.
